How to list USB devices in Linux

How to list USB devices that are currently connected in the system:

find /dev/bus command

/dev/bus
/dev/bus/usb
/dev/bus/usb/002


Next command is lsusb. LSUSB lists device identifiers.

example:

Bus 001 device 002: ID 0ecf:0003 VmWare, Inc. Virtual Mouse

By running this command: lsusb -D /dev/bus/usb/002 will provide more in-depth description of the device.

Dmesg command show log entries related to connected devices using the USB

lspci command lists PCI devices connected
